Program Manager / Partnership Manager – Ukraine

Your role – making an impact in Ukraine
In this role, you will work closely with IM’s partners in Ukraine in a context shaped by war, uncertainty and resilience. You will be expected to combine strategic thinking with sound judgement, flexibility with accountability, and solidarity with professionalism.
You will:
✔ Manage IM’s partnerships with different types of civil society partners in Ukraine, in line with IM’s partnership approach, strategic goals and processes, and qualitative requirements
✔ Accompany partners in areas such as networking, organisational development and ecosystem building
✔ Design, plan and contribute to interventions aimed at sustainable societal change
✔ Take active part in internal IM processes and global working groups
✔ Contribute to fundraising and project funding processes, including proposals and donor dialogue
✔ Maintain a growth mindset and actively contribute to solving emerging challenges in innovative and responsible ways

You are someone who takes responsibility, acts with integrity and is comfortable navigating complexity
You bring:
Academic education in human rights, gender studies, political science or similar – or equivalent experience acquired through work
Extensive experience in development cooperation and a solid understanding of civil society organisations as agents of change
Experience from working with partnerships (not only project implementation)
Very good understanding and proven expertise in M&E and/or MEL processes.
Intermediate experience in outcome and result assessment
Practical experience working with donor requirements, budgets and financial follow-up in collaboration with finance colleagues
Professional proficiency in English and Ukrainian, both written and spoken
You are:

You are also comfortable with self-leadership and understand what it means in practice: making well-founded decisions without waiting for managerial approval, taking responsibility for priorities, and being accountable to colleagues and partners.

Important prerequisites for this role
To succeed in this role, the following conditions need to be in place:
You live in Ukraine and are able to work primarily from within the country
You have experience working in fragile, conflict-affected or high-risk contexts
You are comfortable working under uncertainty, where conditions, plans and priorities may change rapidly

Type of contract: Two-year contract with eventual extension
