Internship with Humanium Metal social innovation project - remote
About IM
We're a feminist and anti-racist organisation on a mission to tackle poverty and fight injustices. We're committed to innovation, accountability and real results and we're always looking for passionate people who want to help us stay relevant.
You will like working with us because we offer you a supportive international work environment with challenging and motivating tasks and plenty of opportunities for personal development. We are a self-steering organisation, which means a workplace without managers.
About the internship
Join our Humanium Metal team on working passionately for a word free from violence. We use the social innovation Humanium Metal as a tool to destroy firearms and transform them into products of peace, raising awareness and uniting a global movement against gun violence. In this internship, you can choose to work remotely or you are welcome to work from our office in Lund, Sweden.
Your profile
This is an internship for you who are interested in social innovation, social and economic justice and peace and security. No knowledge of Swedish is required, neither written nor oral. English is our corporate language so you need to have a level of English equivalent to CEFR B1.
IM applies self-leadership, which means that you are motivated and will take a big responsibility for your own work and can make your own, well-founded decisions, with support from the team and your designated mentor.
It is a given that you stand behind our values and support equal human rights, and that you have a strong motivation to contribute to a sustainable development.
Candidates with diverse backgrounds are warmly encouraged to apply, because we know that enhanced creativity and innovation is the result of multiple perspectives. Our goal is an organisation made up by people of diverse experiences, abilities, life stories, perspectives and competencies, where everybody regardless of identity enjoys a safe space where they have opportunities to grow and feel belonging. To reach this goal we constantly check ourselves to make sure that we really walk the talk as a feminist and anti-racist workplace
